What has been your biggest learning from the week?

Apart from learning the differences, I felt that information systems come with a wealth of information. What I learned this week was that there are no right or wrong answers and no matter our expertise or Job description, we are all here to learn. In the course thus far, I have learned to be objective and try and leverage ideas and always ask questions. I learned that my classmates and I are different when it comes to our thought process and thinking and felt overwhelmed by the amount of information relayed in the discussion forum.

What have you struggled with during the week?

I felt a bit apprehensive and although the subject isn’t new to me, I felt overwhelmed and could not seem to process the subject matter. I felt like a fish out of the water. In the beginning, I did not feel confident as the course was new to me and I struggle to grasp the course materials as I am a visual learner.

What have you learned about the topic that impacts the way you manage information systems in your organization?

I could differentiate between information technology vs information systems and could define and understand where it fits in our organization. I have learned that Decision-making, operations, and wanting to have a competitive advantage impact information systems in my organization.
